Hi my operating system is xp home. I have a p-4 with2 hard drives with a
total of 320 gigbts My memory is 512 pc-2700. I just installed another 512,
but my computer is only recognizing 768I also keep recieving a error that
says device has a bad block when i try to use the floppy drive to perform
dianostic. I assuming That I did not do something right when I installed the
new memory stick! I would appreciate any advice you could give me thanks

Scorpius,

Shut down your system, open up the case and make sure the RAM is firmly
seated into the socket...It should lock into place if seated properly.

I did as you said but my computer is still telling me that the 512 memory I
installed is only 256! Is it possible that the manufacturer made a mistake in
packaging?
