Is there a way I can find out what functions the various programs
have which are installed on my computer?
For example there is a program installed by the name of "Paper Port",
another one "Creative ZEN Series", another one "Westwood shared internet
components" and so on.
I would like to throw them out but I am afraid they have a function which I
need to keep.
Like I said above, is there a way to find out if they are necessary for
everyday computing?
Thanks

Hello,

Yes, you can use Google
http://www.google.com

For Paper Port, it seems to be a "..The PaperPort Viewer enables you to
share PaperPort items with others who do not have PaperPort on their
computer.."

For Creative Zen Series, it seems to be software for creative mp3 players
"..Creative NOMADs are fun, compact, easy-to-use portable MP3 players that
store hours.."

For Westwood shared internet components, it seems to be for "..Westwood
Internet-playable games." .. most like Command and Conquer games

google is your friend :>

Paper port > part of your scanner software
Creative Zen Series > digital audio player
Westwood > installed with one of your games for connecting to a server
during multiplayer games
