Installation Problems

I am trying to install a program onto my computer, and everytime I try a
message box appears telling me that the program cannot be installed because
another installer is currently running. However, this is NOT the case as
nothing else is running at the time. Any ideas on what I should do or how on
earth I can fix it?????

Restart the computer and try again if didnt work.Boot to Safe mode the try
installing.
