installation problems with several progams

A while ago I was having problems installing the complete software program
that came with a newly purchased camera. Even working with the manufacturer
didn't help. Recently upgraded my virus protection (PC-cillin). Cannot
install. Error message reads " no network device found / conflict with the
existing antivirus software" which is almost identical to the error message
with the camera software. I have been working with the antivirus people and
then cannot solve the issue. NOw I'm having problems installing Java. It
is impossible for all programs to have problems. Somebody suggested the
problems might me elsewhere. Any suggestions? I have run a scan with your
Live OneCare and I am virus free.

Can someone help me please? I have Windows XP Professional.

You did uninstall the antivirus program (Uninstall not deactivate)?.

I uninstalled (or tried to) the program via the add/remove method and I also
uninstalled it using their uninstall tool (which was recommended by Trend
Micro as this also unistalls from the registry). This was tried numerous
times. Even with the camera program (HP), I tried to unistall using their
uninstall program.
