Trying to use SATA drive for boot disk. XP installs files,
then asks for reboot to complete setup. Reboot takes me
back to beginning again and tells me it can't use the
partition and makes me delete and reformat all over.

I can see the installation files on the SATA drive when
booting up with IDE disk. BIOS shows SATA drive is
available, but can't find boot file. I've tried both
dynamic and basic disk formats. Not that it should affect
startup, but install requires 3rd party SCSI drivers
before installing to SATA drive.

Tried all of the FAQ and KB help suggestions.
Any new ideas?

SYS Info:

Youll need to install xp cd,boot to cd,youll quickly see the text, press F
to install raid or sata drivers, press F6,and have the drivers on a flopp
disk.

that was the only way to get the install to see the drive
was to load the drivers. After I get through the initial
install, the program wants to reboot, and then it can't
see XP is installed on the disk. I have to start all over
again.
