Installation error encountered

I cannot send or delete my email. I followed the directions per kb941090 and
encountered "Installer encountered an error 0x8007000d"

Help...I am so frustrated with this!!!

I am working on it...however, the "mail" download has apparently stopped at
99%. It has been sitting there for an hour. I think I am going to quit. I
have a very slow dialup service here in rural Montana. May wait until I get
home to my wireless highspeed......frustrated that I cannot send out my
newsdesk letter for 5 weeks because of this stupid but obviously common vista
problem.

Frankly you're the first person to report that "Installer encountered an
error 0x8007000d", so your particular problem is not common.

In a pinch, you can always send using your provider's webmail.

Thank you for responding.....however, I don't think I will sleep well
tonight!!l I can send messages via another site; however, I am not about
ready to change my newsletter/blog mailing set up to accomodate this issue.
It is very upsetting to have a new computor and run into this type or
catastrophy. I have heard Vista is a hazard - now I know it is!! I just
wish this had happened while at home so I did not have to suffer the
frustration in slow motion!! Thanks again.....

Most unexplained problems with Windows Mail are caused by
running a non-compatible antivirus program. Particularly
troublesome ones are Norton, McAfee and Trend Micro products.
Unfortunately several of the antivirus program producers did not
ensure that their products are fully compatible with Windows Mail.
I don't see how you can blame Vista for that.
