G'Day All,

I am wanting to install XP on my 2nd (larger, faster) HDD on my PC whilst
still keeping the other one running for a while (to ensure I get everything
transfered & installed). Can anyone help with how I should go about this.
Anything I find is on installing 'different' OS on the 2nd drive.

Cheers,

You just boot from the winxp cd and follow prompts, but having said that the
boot files will still be on C and the new o/s installation will be to eg E:\
which is something you might not want to finish up with.
So perhaps you should disconnect the current o/s hd, install the new hd as
master, then with old hd still disconnected install winxp, update, install
Apps then shutdown and connect the old hd as slave to recover data

Use a program such as Partition Magic, Ghost. etc. or the installation disk
received with the HD (assuming you installed it) to copy/clone first drive
(master) - to the second drive. Of course backup any date on second drive
that you want to keep.
