Install Window XP Home (upgrade)

While installing new XP software, I got the following
fatal error (535FF58h). I can not find any reference to
the error in any searches I have tried. I just spend $99
on the software and to get up MS wants me to buy some kind
of Passport. NOT FAIR. And, will they let me return the
Software that doesn't work. DON'T THINK SO. I did due
diligence to determine if XP would work on my system
before purchasing. If you can't help, I don't know where
to go from here.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is the XP an upgrade or did you do a clean install ?
You don't have to purchase Passport, it's free.
Provide additional details about the install, someone will
help. Good Luck !

Please post entire error message...

are you doing a clean instal or upgrade?

the "passport" you are referring to is free and you don't need to sign up
for it if you don't want to
