install win2000 pro......error problems encountered with win nt.....

hi all...

when iam trying to insatll windows 2000 prof....edition on my system it gives an error .....windows NT encountered a problem and needs to be closed.......i do not have the windows nt on my system......i have win98SE and win xp on other drives.......when iam trying to install win2000 on other drive.....it gives other msg as performed an illegal operation needs to closed

anyone who can give a solution to this are welcome........
