This error most likely pertains to a corrupt iso. If you downloaded try
burning a new disk.

Hi,

In addition, if you downloaded run a CRC utility to check the file both
before burning to disk and then the disk itself. It has been documented as
well that reducing the burn speed to 1x or 2x can alleviate this common
problem.

Or at least the lowest available speed, which for my burner software was 6X.
The burn speed is by far the likliest problem.

That's what I was thinking. Don't touch a thing while burning, leave the
mouse alone, walk away from it.

No evidence whatsoever that concomittant activity on the box while burning
has any scintilla of impact on the burn's integrity and you won't get any
burning software company to say it does or produce studies it does. Running
away from lol mice doesn't help but if they frighten you otherwise you could
get a kitty to keep them in check. Colin is super thorough but I can't find
a link to a viral scanner and burning anywhere. Viral scanning and
installing some programs--that association probably happens although not
much. Mark Vanderberg's closet routine is because of a certain zen mood he
wants to evoke while burning.

Much more common causes of probelms burning are far and away using a slow
enough speed but 4X should be plenty, failure to close the session, and less
commonly this may help:

Get to Dev Manager by typing devmgmt.msc in run/win key + pause break or Rt.
click My Computer>Prop>hardware tab>Device Manager if you like 5 steps
instead of one cmd. If you're set to PMI here change to DMO and if set to
DMO change to PMI:

a.. Click the + in front of IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers
a.. Double Click the Secondary IDE Controller
a.. Click Advanced Settings
a.. Under Device 1 Next to Transfer Mode choose DMA (or vise versa)
a.. Click OK
a.. Reboot your System
