Install of Outlook impacting Windows Mail Messages

I am running Windows Mail on Vista and would like to switch to Microsoft
Outlook. Will installing Outlook impact my email messages currently in
Windows Mail? Can I install Outlook and then export the WM messages into
Outlook after install? Thanks.
 
No it has no impact on the Mail msg store
Yes you can export Mail to Outlook, once outlook is configured
 
The install worked great as well as the export of email messages. Thank you
