install mobile internet toolkit

hello all,

I'm trying to install the mobile internet toolkit 1.0. but it says
setup has detected an incompatible version of the microsoft .net
framework. I'm using ms .net 2003 edition on xp pro. Anybody knows how
I can install it now? Does that mean that mobile internet toolkit 1.0
doesn't support .net 2003? any work arounds?

Hi,

That means that you're trying to install a previous version only. By the way
if you tried to use the Mobile Internet Toolkit from 2003 you would notice
that it's included there. I'm able to create the Mobile Forms, Mobile
Projects and use them.

I think you may be confused about what's installed. For MMIT, I think you
need the 1.1 framework... if you get all of the windows updates you should
have both the 1.0 framework and the 1.1 framework. It is probably under
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework and you'd should see either v1.0.xxxxx
or v1.1.xxxxx . I'm not sure if it's looking for the 1.0 or 1.1 framework,
but you may be missing both. Either way, if you have both you should be
good to go and if you only have one, try installing the other one.
