Install.log file missing

I'm trying to install new anti spyware software from Lavasoft (Adaware).
When I go to install it, I get a message that says "Install.log file not
found". I click OK and the installation continues but it hangs up and will
not complete. I'm guessing it's due to the missing file. Advice? I have a
Compaq computer with Windows XP Professional loaded. Many, many, MANY thanks
to anyone who can help.
 
Helen, are you updating to a newer version of Adaware.? If yes, go to
Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the older version first. If
no, download Adaware again from Lavasoft.
