I am sorry if this is not exactly the right place, but posted 10 times
in a couple html newsgrps without reply.

I have a legal Incredimail copy and about 450 goldgallery components
for Incredimail (stationery, notifiers, ecards, sounds).

Rather than spend 4-5 hrs like last time, clicking each one, one at a
time , would like to know a simple editor to write a bat file, and how
exactly to do it.

Am intelligent, just have never done this before.

I assume when done, I put it in with my directory of those components I
want to install.

Much deep thanks for helping me thru this the first time.....then I
will have it right :)

if the files are regular
pic file type formats you
can use something like picasa
from Google. it will create
albums from your directory were
the components are located.

what file formats are they
anyways..?

thanks for your reply. They are Incredimail..............special
Incredimail extensions for importing stationery, etc. into program to
use.

Nothing else uses them....

Think I found it on the web, just need to know what type of editor
notepad, metapad, frontpage, etc. to write it with please :)

what are the extensions?

ok.

firstly, those extensions
are a combination of graphic
images, music files and others.

secondly, with a multitude
of these varying file types,
a simple batch file would
seem not be helpful.

what i am wondering is what
program is allowing you to view
them now?

by going to folder options
in explorer and checkout the file types
dialog you will see the extension for
ima and the associated commands, like
view and open and the programs required.

what we need to see/know is how are
you able to view or hear the files
individually via the desktop. It
might be possible that a previewer
was provided especially for those
file types. However, the main
program may be the only viewer.

these files types are
specifically designed for
use by the program. But what
you are wanting to have is something
to help you preview the images
before using them in their software.

what you really need is
a generic viewer so that
you can see them as a
gallery or album.

there is a graphics viewer called
xnview. supposedly it can
convert and view over 400 different types
of images. however, it won't
play the music files and whatever
other formats are being used and it
may be possible that it cannot convert
ima images.

It seems that the ima file
extension is also being used by other
developers like winimage. if you use
winimage and it too requires the use
of the ima extension, your system would
become corrupted.

maybe if you provide a step by step listing
of what you have to do now, from beginning
to the end in order to produce
the end results. Then provide what
you expect the batch file to do better.
maybe i am missing something....
