I want install additional DVD writer. Motherboard is P4i45GV ASRock. Not
clear, can the second DVD to be installed without various problems: since
primary IDE Connector and secondary IDE Connector are already used by
hardrive and CD-ROM.

Each IDE channel can have a master and a slave device, just make sure to set
the jumpers on the drives correctly.

Actually most of my desktop systems have two CD/DVD writer drives. .
Works well. It isn't an unusual configuration.

No, it's actually quite ordinary practice. Nothing bad or hasty about it.
additional power and
motherboard load, additional connectors.

Not at all. The power supply is sufficient for all components, and no
extra connectors are used. I'm not using any more connectors than the
board and power supply provide.

It really isn't unusual to have systems with multiple hard disks and
multiple optical drives. Data transfer to drives of this type is far below
limits of modern systems.

In addition, if you look, you'll see that a number of CD/DVD burner software
offers the options to burn multiple copies to more than one burner at a
time. It can't do that if there is only one drive.

Set which ever drive you would be using most of the time. Most PCs are
powered correctly to support 4 IDE drives (hard drive, tape drive, CD/DVD
drives etc.....) and 2 floppy drives (old and disappearing.)

my motherboard have 2 IDE Connectors, primary and secondary. what does
a Master or Slave affect? Also, the real power supply may differes from
specified in technical document. Nobody knows the real power supply.

so what's better, to set second DVD ROM (burner) as Master and CD-Rom
burner as a Slave, or contrary, set DVD burner as Slave? Whats logic?

Really doesn't matter, unless one of the drives doesn't work properly
when set as slave. Set the jumper, and plug them in correctly and go.
Any grief out of the slave, switch them around.
