Inserting swish into a page

Steve

Hi,

I am using Swish to create small Flash presentations. The swish file
produces a .html and .swf version of the flash presentation. Both open and
play OK in browsers.

However, FP [2002] will only accept me inserting the .html file. When I try
to insert the .swf file I get a prompt to install a converter? When I click
OK it says it can't find the file and fails.

I would like to use the .swf file instead of the .html version as I am told
it will avoid the box showing around the presentaion in IE.

What file do I need to use the .swf, where do I find it and how do I install
it?

Thanks

File Import the html page & the swf into FP
- create a Link to either

Thanks Stefan,

I have both the .html and .swf in the main directory on the server and I can
INSERT>FILE> and see the .html. I can also insert it and it runs.

[I assume this is what you call a link?]

But when I go INSERT>FILE> i cannot see the .swf file - so i select show all
files and then when it appears I select it and go OK.

That is when I get the prompt message I need a converter - and if i click OK
to install it - it then says it cannot find the file?

Thanks

If you have the HTML file - you have the souce code on embedding the swish /
Flash file into an HTML file, right? Try copying that embed code into your
HTML file (where you would like the Flash to be)

The SWF file is all you need, if inserting into an existing web page,
DO.....
"INSERT".....
"PICTURE"
"Movie In flash Format".
then test it, you may need to specify the size in the dialoge box that
comes up, or if you need to do that after , then just right click on
the flash file in frontpage, and select properties to get back to that
area, and set the size as per the size you created it. s'been a
little while since I last did one of these ~ just tryin to remember if
and when the flash screen size needs to be set... .... ...

Do the following:

"Insert"...
"Picture"...
"Movie in Flash Format".

you might then have to set the dimensions of the flash file, in the
dialog box that shows up - or select Properties of the flash file,
then set size.
ps--- thought I'd pressed "send".. thinks not... think i hit the wrong
button - sorry if posted twice in err~
