Inserting Publisher Files Into Powerpoint

A

Andrew Buckle

Hello,

Can anybody help me? I am trying to insert a Publisher
2000 picture into a Powerpoint 2000 presentation, and it
is coming up with a list of converter formats, but none of
them seem to work. Is there something I have missed on
installation of Office Pro? Any constructive comments
will be welcome.

Regards

I would save the Publisher page (in Publisher) as PNG and then insert that
in PowerPoint.

I seem to recall that you can insert the actual Publisher page as an object
in PowerPoint, but that the size of the presentation balloons out of
control. 250 megs per page seems to be about the size I remember.

So while it is possible to do it as an object directly into PowerPoint, it
is far better to follow Sonia's advice. Save it as a picture format from
Publisher. Then insert the picture into PowerPoint.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint does not provide that level of integration with Publisher (we
cannot open/convert publications). Instead, you would first have to convert
your publications to one of the formats that PowerPoint can accept.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) thinks that is important for
PowerPoint to provide better (or any) support for support for consuming,
viewing and/or interacting with data and documents from other Office
applications (without having to resort to VBA or add-ins), don't forget to
send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
