inserting columns error message

B

Bill

working in an unprotected spreadsheet, every time I try to
insert a column I receive the message "fixed objects will
move" which requires multiple 'whacks'(along with multiple
curses) on the enter key to continue. If I try to add or
insert several columns at once I receive the
message "cannot move objects off the sheet" same remedy as
above.

I have searched for fixed, hidden or embedded objects and
cannot find any objects of any sort or any formulated or
protected cells. The problem seems to be progressive and
is 'contaminating' one after another of my worksheets and
seems to be getting worse ----- Any ideas ?????????

I had this a while ago and was caused by hiding rows or columns. If I
inserted a row or column which pushed any data into the hidden area I got
the same message I solved it by unhiding rows and columns before inserting.
This may not the technical answer but it worked for me.

HELP! I am unable to insert columns into my worksheet and keep getting a message that says it is "...unable to shift nonblank cells off the worksheet." Huh? I have never had this problem and can't find a solution. I do have a number of comments in the spreadsheet but I made all the necessary changes and I also checked to make sure that no rows or columns were hidden but still not able to proceed no matter what I do. Can anyone help me with this

Thank
