Inserted image does not appear on preview

I inserted an image on to my webpage and I can see it in the design view, But
i cannot see it either on the preview page nor on my web-page. I am not able
to figure this out why its doing it to me.

Right click the place where the image is supposed to be, there should be an image place holder or
red X and then select Properties.

If the file path starts with file/// you need to import the image to a place inside your web and
then remove and reinsert the image in the page and republish.

The picture must be located somewhere within your website.
Use the File / Import feature.
