Insert spaces in String of Numbers

Hello, I have a series of 16 numbers and would like to insert spaces or
dashes. Is there a formula that can be used to accomplish this task. My
number appears from the report as: pp234567890123. I would like
pp2-345-678901-23. Thanks for your time.
