Insert Pictue window to display files in list view & not of thumbn

When I want to insert a picture into a powerpoint slide, the insert picture
window opens and displays my files as thumbnails. How do I set the window to
display a list instead of thumbnails??? I don't want to manually change the
view to "list view" every time I want to insert a picture. Is there any way
you can set it to list view by default???

The problem is that powerpoint defaults to using the "My Pictures" folder and
that folder likes to default to thumbnail view,

If you're confident editing the registry you can change the default folder
Create a folder in my documents called eg Images make sure its list view

Run > Regedit

This is the key to change
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software \Microsoft\Windows
\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\My Pictures

Change the address to point at My Documents\Images
