Insert new entries in a main form that is linked to subforms

I have made a database with subforms in it. You can add items to the
subforms on their own forms but when you want to add the items to the boxes
on the main form it will not take it.

What do I have to do to correct the problem so all I have to do is add them
on the maim form!

I'm not positive I understand the problem but here are some suggestions for
creating forms and subforms. First, create the forms independently and make
sure they work independently. IOW, if you want the forms to allow edits and
additions, they should do so as stand-alone objects. When the forms are
working as desired (except for the relationship between them), then embed one
of them into the other. The critical part when doing so is to properly
specify the linked fields. If done in this manner, the subform will
automatically follow the main form as expected. HTH
