Insert Navigation Bar Problem

I am using Front Page 2000 and using the Insert Navigation Bar feature, but
am having a spacing problem with the text on top of the bar background.

The Text for the menu choices appears flushed left in-line with the menu bar
colored background.

I would like to have some padding on the left of the menu bars so that the
text has some breathing room, does anyone have any tips on how to achieve
this?
