Getting this message, "PPT couldn't insert a movie from the selected
file. Either the file is non-standard or Quicktime is not properly
installed," when I try to insert an MPEG. I looked at past threads and
most seemed to recommend looking for Office Updates (done this to no
avail) or Premiere Updates (also none that affect me) I have been
making the MPEGS on Premiere and they play on a friend's computer in
Powerpoint, leading me to believe the problem lies with my Powerpoint,
not the MPEGS. I am running Office XP Pro. Any ideas? Thanks.

I would say the issue is that you don't have the needed codecs installed or
they aren't available to the MCI media player (used by PowerPoint for
multimedia). You can use an application like GSpot to determine the actual
coded being used and then download and install it on your machine. However,
this is not always a guarantee it will work.

As an alternative I'll suggest taking a look at the add in to PowerPoint we
created to solve these issue. You may download it from www.pfcmedia.com and
run it as a fully functioning trial for two weeks to see if it solves your
issues.
