I get the following error message:

To prevent possible loss of data, Microsoft
Excel cannot shift nonblank cells off the
worksheet.

Try to delete or clear the cells to the right
and below your data. Then select cell A1, and
save your workbook to reset the last cell used.

Or, you can move the data to a new location
and try again.

I have tried the fixes in this message as well as the
fixes suggested in KB article # 305568. No help.

This is in a three-page worksheet with NO formulas that I
use to track schedules for our pubs group. I am dead in
the water. We are dead in the water. Help!

(P.S. I have searched this newsgroup and failed to find
any discussion related to this problem. If there was one
that I didn't find, will you kindly point me toward it?)

When you sau you have tried those fixes - how did you delete them?? Try
selecting all the Column headers to the right of your last column of data and
deleting the actual columns, not just the cells. They will be replaced with
other columns, but don't worry. Then repeat with row headers, save the file,
close and reopen (Might even want to restart Excel).

If that doesn't fix it, then post the code you are using, along with a
description what it is trying to achieve, as maybe something in there has gone
funky on you.

This worked! Back afloat again!! Thank you so much.

Now I can go back to discovering the limits of Word, which
is how I customarily spend my days.

Try selecting the row number at the left of the page and
press Ctl + "+" this should work

Good luck

Peter
