Inkjet printer problem

The printhead "spreads" small black droplets in random places (see this scan
at 1200dpi http://inkline.gr/temp/RandomDroplets.jpg ). Most of the droplets
are at the right side of the printed page (at the left side of the printer).
The printer is a Epson D68. Is a printer or an ink issue?
I haven't notice this problem before. The droplets are more if the print
resolution is higher. In the scanned portion I see some yellow, and few
cyan/magenta droplets too.

I don't have a C68 here to look at. If it has a "spittoon" on the left
side, make sure it hasn't clogged and filled up with sludge/ink. The
Durabrite inks tend to sludge up badly.

Other wise I just suggest an underhead cleaning. If you do not have my
Epson Cleaning Manual yet, ask for it at:

Arthur, I forgot to mention I operate the printer with dye inks (I refill
the cartridges). The problem, as I saw yesterday, seems not the printhead,
but the cleaning station or something else. I see the droplets only at the
right side of the page (more of them at the far right side, much less in the
middle of the page and almost none at the left side).
In the first, I thought the printhead, now I'm thinking the clean station.
I've cleaned the cleaning station, I've cleaned under the head, there is no
plenty of ink onto the pad (spittoon), and the problem persists. The
droplets are very small (could be from the nozzles) and on the other side
are only at the right of the pages, so I blame more the cleaning station. To
say the truth, I don't care for the problem itself, I'm aware only for the
ink quality. That's why I want to solve the problem.
