I am saving my documents in and the older version of word, when I try to
attach the doc document to an email, doc.Ink appears and my professor can't
open it. How do I get rid of the Ink?

What email program are you using (if Outlook, what version?), and what steps
are you following to try to attach the doc to the email?

Well, first I was trying to send it in my online classroom's dropbox. That
didn't work, then I sent it on the class email, then I resaved it several
times and attached it on an aol email. It finally worked. It attaches the
correct document, but the Ink does not appear until it's attached on the ways
described above. When looking at the names of my documents in the Office
document, you don't see the Ink.

That's not the file. You just sent your professor a shortcut to your file.
That doesn't work - as you've seen.

Depending on the email program you're using, you could try doing a File -
Send To...
