[Info] Edit MDE Reports Runtime

A

Alessandro Baraldi

Here any can find two demo that make possible to change Report Runtime
without set changes trought Design mode, it will work also on MDE.

I make 2Demos:

This first is OPEN_Source work only for Report Object, full option, no
limited edition
try converting yourself on MDE:
http://www.alessandrobaraldi.it/DettaglioFaq.asp?IdFAQ=197

The 2nd is an MDE, work with both, Forms and Report, it's an EXE file
i build a little Setup with InnoSetupCompiler, no dll and no Registry
action are made.
The setup will only create a folder, and put inside the files required.

http://www.alessandrobaraldi.it/DettaglioFaq.asp?IdFAQ=198

All 2 Demos are based on NorthWind.mdb ITalyan version.

Alessandro Baraldi is a THIEF! Take this web page down!
http://www.alessandrobaraldi.it/DettaglioFaq.asp?IdFAQ=205 You claim your the
author and wrote it on feb. 4, 2005? Funny how the wayback machine shows that
code was written by another author on another website and has been on the net
since at least Oct. 19, 2004
http://web.archive.org/web/20041019123418/http://www.access.qbuilt.com/html/vba.html.
It's been moved here http://www.access.qbuilt.com/html/vba2.html. YOU STOLE
THEIR CODE! It matches right down to the user id, password, variable names,
lab;es and comments with almost no changes. I already emailed qbilt.com so
now they know. I bet you copied other people's code too claiming you wrote it
and you better watch it they don't find you out. Take down all those web
pages with stolen code!

Two summers ago I was racking my brains trying to connect a secure Access
datbase with ADO and someone here (Camero?) was kind enough to put that code
up on his website for me and anyone else who needed it. Hallelujah!! I'd
been struggling with it all week and couldn't find the right solutoin
anywhere on the net so I asked here for help. Camero posted it and wrote me
they take pride in providing unique code samples that can't be found anywhere
else on the net and if I found there code duplicated to let them know about
it and they'd take theirs down. I DON'T WANT THAT TO HAPPEN! They help lots
of people like me with code that works - for free! I don't know what I'd do
without all the people who answer our questions in this forum and put up
websites to help us. Kudos to all of you and a rottin tomato for the thief
Alessandro Baraldi!!

Be quite dear...!
The code you say it's a normal code that you can build also reading
Help On_Line it's not
a GENIAL one...!
May be that i find it on the web, but really not fron the site you say,
may possible from some
3D.....

Looking for your Link, i confirm that the code is the same, so i will
immediatly ask to the
WebMaster.

Not to scream to the world they are not all Murders....

The code you say it's a normal code that you can build also reading
Help On_Line

YOu won't find code anything like that procedure in online help or in
northwind or anything Microsoft puts out. Camero wrote that code for me and I
put it in my app with other code I found at their website, at mvps.org and
this forum. When my Sup saw it he said your code looks really good but you
didn't write it did you? I said no I cant take credit for those parts I got
from the mvps but how did you know i didn't write it? He said it looks to
elegant and to organized.

Look at the comments, the error handler code and the Cleanup lable. Only
Camero writes it like that and people who copy him. Did Camero explain to you
why the error handler and exit code ALWAYS looks the way it does and why
public procedures are ALWAYS assigned as public when we DON'Thave to write it
like that? If you know why then why doesn't all your other code look like all
the patterns in this one procdure at your website? Your other code doesn't
follow the same rules because YOU don't follow those rules when you write
code because YOU DIDN'T WRITE THAT CODE!
May be that i find it on the web, but really not fron the site you say,
may possible from some
3D.....

It says "Autore: @Alex" clear as the nose on your face. Autore is author in
italian. YOU claim YOU are the author! It doesn't say anywere on your web
page you FOUND it somewhere let alone that Camero is the author or that
somebody at qbilt.com wrote it. And you din't find it anywhere that gave you
permission to claim it was YOUR code.

I bet right. You copied other people's code too. I'm sure this mvp didn't
give you permission to copy his code on your page here
http://www.alessandrobaraldi.it/DettaglioFaq.asp?IdFAQ=256 from his page here
http://www.3stone.be/access/articles.php?lng=fr&pg=46 and put YOUR name as
the author. Just like I'm sure Microsoft didn't give you permission to copy
their KB articals like this one http://support.microsoft.com/kb/210331 you
copied on your web page here
http://www.alessandrobaraldi.it/DettaglioFaq.asp?IdFAQ=265 or this web page
of yours http://www.alessandrobaraldi.it/DettaglioFaq.asp?IdFAQ=263 from this
KB artical http://support.microsoft.com/kb/281998 again with YOUR NAME AS THE
AUTHOR. Did you build your whole website with other people's code and
articals? Net searches rank copied pages lower and when i search I want to go
to english sites not italian. I don't want them to take down their code
because you copied it. They're a mvp because they got talent. Your just a
copy cat thief with no shame. They better look at your website to see what
else you stole.
Looking for your Link, i confirm that the code is the same, so i will

Ther'es no ASKING! It's YOUR site! Its got YOUR name on it! Take down the
code and the articals you stole!

I call a spade a spade and a thief a thief. I see a thief. I'm very greatful
and want to thank the mvps and people who answer our questions here and put
up websites to help out complete strangers. They deserve the credit for their
hard work, thieves don't.

All reference to MS are included my mistake is about the Author, but if
i include MS original link
so also a child understand a right Autor...

Mr Gary you probably can have some reason about some note(i will remove
my name from the Autohr this is really my mistake), but i usually
include on code all the Autor note, and i usually ask to author when is
not unknow, so before accusing you make attention and tries to use
EDUCATION.

Don't warry about me you are little silly man.

It says "Autore: @Alex" clear as the nose on your face. Autore is author in
I say that is not my code i find it on Web.

Oh so you think you can claim you invented the moon because you FOUND it in
the sky? You can't copy other people's work and put it on your website
WITHOUT PERMISSION AND WITHOUT PAYING them! I know you don't have qbilt.com's
permission because their policy. They take down any code or articals that are
copied. I know because I was looking for code I'd seen at there site and when
I couldn't find it I emailed them and they said they had to take it down
because it was copied on another site. I DON'T WANT THAT TO HAPPEN AGAIN!! I
want to search in english and find what I need. I don't want to have to
translate from italian or anotehr language - IF the net search even checks
other languages which they usually don't.

And I know you don't have permission from Microsoft of copy their web pages
because they have copyrights they enforce. You can LINK to their pages but
you CAN'T COPY their content. It belongs to thejm.
The Author is Arnaud Bolet, and with it's permission i also linked its
original website on mi favorites one...

Funny how it's got YOUR name on the code in two places on your page but not
Arnaud's name even once. There's no mention of Arnaud or that he's a mvp or a
link to his website anywhere near his code, even if as you say you have a
link in your favorits which I can't even find on that page. That's enough to
hide the REAL author and PRETEND you wrote his code.
All reference to MS are included my mistake is about the Author, but if
i include MS original link
so also a child understand a right Autor...

Even a child understands ownership. You don't own the articals or code you
stole from other websites. Like I said you have no shame.
Mr Gary you probably can have some reason about some note(i will remove

include on code all the Autor note, and i usually ask to author when is
not unknow, so before accusing you make attention and tries to use
EDUCATION.

I'm accusing you of being a thief because I have enough evidence YOU ARE A
THIEF! Even the comments in the code you stole are in english not italian.
That code wasn't anywhere on the net two summers ago until I asked for it and
qbilt.com put it on their website for EVERYBODY. All of us to use - not
steal. And Microsoft doesn't let people copy their copyrighted stuff. That's
why they have lawyers.
Don't warry about me you are little silly man.

At least I don't stoop so low I'd steal other people's work and claim teh
credit for it. I don't pretend I have their talents and neither should you.

Gary,

Your reaction to Alessandro is not an appropriate display in a public forum
such as this. It would only be appropriate if you had first contacted Alex by
private e-mail message, expressing your concerns, if he had either ignored
your message (after a sufficient time for reply) or replied in a manner that
basically told you where to go.

The web pages in question that you sited by Camaro (aka Gunny) are Gunny's
property, not mine. However, I believe that I can speak on Gunny's behalf,
given that I have a long standing relationship with this person.

I think you own Alex a public apology!

This way was a right one, absolutly correct.
