is it possible to copy a formula down a column for as long as the column
exists - ie ALL cells within the column - not just those visible?

thanks again

CTRL-SHIFT-DOWN will select all cells from the current cell to the very
bottom (row 65536). So, copy your formula, select the cell below,
Ctrl-Shift-Down, Paste.

Select all of column A, for example, by clicking on the column
header. Type your formula and press CTRL+ENTER rather than just
ENTER. This will fill the entire column with the formula, down to
the last row.
