infast TV2000 XP Expert tv tuner card /w fm

Good afternoon,

I am having troubles with the Winfast TV2000 XP Expert tv
tuner card /w fm.
I have followed the instructions in the user's manual, but
to no avail. Here is a description of my problem:

During application and driver install, there are no
errors, and the complete install follows as planned. But
when the application is run, it brings up and error
message that states there is no hardware installed to run
this program. And sure enough, when the device manager is
consulted no drivers are installed for the card. After
downloading the latest drivers from the Leadtek website, I
tried installing them through the device manager and
figured that it would be running in no time. But I was
confronted with another error.
"This device cannot be installed

Access is denied"

I have no idea why I am receiving this message as I am
computer administrator and have all the privileges needed
to install software/hardware. I have tried removing the
software that was installed using the manual and then
reinstalling the driver, but I still receive the same
error; access is denied.

MY system specs are as follows:

Product name: Winfast TV2000 XP expert /w fm
Software Driver Version: 5.13.1.1309 (2003/9/17)
MB manufacturer: Epox 8RDA+
BIOS Version + Chipset: 6.00 - NVIDIA Nforce 2
Computer speed: AMD Athlon XP Thoroughbred 2400+ "B"
Monitor: Sony Trinitron Multiscan 17sf

Thank you for any help that you can contribute.

Hi Blake, I have this tuner card. The latest
version of the drivers now are 5.13.1.3300.

I dont know if the latest drivers will help.

BUT the PC I use is a P4, with Hyperthreading.

The drivers, or software that came with the CD
for this one used to freeze the system. Until I
updated the drivers and the software. And so far,
so good. It hasnt frozen the system yet!

Remove the drivers and software you have
download the latest off the site. Install the new
drivers first then the software. Also, make sure
the PCI card is in properly, in the PCI slot,
and screwed in.

It maybe coming out, or not in far enough
for the system to recognise it.

And, download the latest version of the software
and drivers. See, how you go.
