Individual Contact out of Distribution List

I just want to e-mail one or two individuals out of my distribution list.
However, Outlook 2007 does not allow me to do this, or I am not that familiar
with how to do it. In Outlook 2000, I could. Possibly this is not available
in Outlook 2007?
