Hi
Does anybody know if there are any plugins that can increase the size (rows
and columns) of an excel spreadsheet.

Or else, any other spreadsheet programmes that can perform similar analysis
as Excel that has greater capacity.

Thanks

By this, I mean increase number of rows to (much)greater than 255 and
number of columns to greater than 65000

Cheers

Hi

It's not possible to increase the number of rows or columns in Excel. Other
options include StarOffice or OpenOffice - but, as I use Excel, I don't know
the max size of sheets they allow.

Open Office has exactly the same. And so does Lotus 123 (v9)

Slight mix up there - it's 256 Columns and 65536 Rows :-)

You may want to consider storing your data in a database and using Excel's
ability to query external data to pull in what you need for analysis.

Corel's quatro pro supposedly has a million rows per worksheet, and 72000
some columns, but never worked with it, because there is no xml support for
version 10.
