Increasing connections for P2P apps?

I have installed E-mule (a P2P client) in Vista Ultimate and it works, but
the number of connections that come in and go out has decreased dramatically
from my XP professional.

I know that software I had in Win XP (Tune-UP.com) increased the number of
connections allowed. Is there a way to increase these connections in Vista,
or are we stuck with the 10 connections?

With only ten connections open, there is less chance of you picking up
something bad.. look on the positive side.. :)
