i have a spread shee with a column of my product costs i want to mark up the
whole ncolumn by 25%. please help how do i dom this.

bill z.

In an empty cell somewhere (eg M1) enter the value 1.25. Select M1 and
click <copy>, then move cursor and highlight the cells in the product
costs column that you want to increase. Click on Edit | Paste Special
| Values (check) | Multiply (check) | OK then <Esc>.

All your prices will have been increased by 25%, and you can now
delete M1.

Hope this helps.

To make each value 25% larger than it already is... enter 1.25 in a blank
cell somewhere; after pressing Enter, select the cell click Edit/Copy from
the menu bar; then select all the cells you want to mark up by 25% and click
Edit/PasteSpecial from the menu bar; select Multiply from the Operation
section; then click OK.
