incorrect reverse lookup zones

P

paul

When I originally set up my DNS reverse zone I set the ip
address incorrectly by reversing it myself rather than
letting the wizard do this. I the realised my mistake and
set it up correctly but didn't delete the first zone. I
now have the following in my reverse zone say my network
segment were 192.168.20.0 I have

20.168.192.in-addr.arpa AD integrated
127.in-addr.arpa standard primary
255.in-addr.arpa standard primary
and 192.168.20.in-addr.arpa AD integrated

I assume that the standard primary zones are created by
the system and that the 192.168.20 zone is the incorrect
one I originally created as this is unpopulated. To tidy
up the entries can I just delete the 192.168.20 zone.

Many Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,

Yes, you can simply delete this zone. Technically, this will not affect
your system functionality. Please feel free to post back if you experience
further problems. I look forward to hearing from you.
