Incorrect printout of report

Using Access 2002
I have a report in which the detail has 5 sub reports which contain a text
box that is to count the number of persons who fit the criteria. That part
seems to work.
When I print the report I want to get 5 lines orf information. Instead I
get one line printed the number of times the criteria is met. Instead of a 5
line report I get 5000 pages of repeated lines of info.

Without understanding your record sources, I can only guess you have a record
source of your main report that should be either deleted or limited to some
grouping level.

Having taken a closer look at the sub-reorts in the main report, I see that
they also return a line of print for each record that matches the query.
Adding a 'Count' text box to the header returns an #ERROR. The control source
for that text box is " =Count " it resides in the Resort Header.

I am not sure if your "5000 pages of repeated lines" is resolved or not.
Also, you can't just use "=Count". You must count something like:
=Count("*")
or
=Count([EmployeeID])
