incorrect pass or unknown user over network

Hello,

I have 3 machines here. 1 XP, 1 NT4 and 1 W2k in network. I have in all 3
same user / pass for easy access.

Certainly I cannot access my XP machine anymore from the NT or w2K machine.
It prompt me for user / pass. And when I fill it in corrcly it say "incorrect
pass or unknown user".

I'm pretty sure it started after a windows update because I'm very sure I
did not changed any security setting.

AFAIR you need to disable "Simple File Sharing" on the WinXP.

Hi,

Thank you that did it. BTW I think it was not because of an upgrade. I did a
'sysem restore' a short while ago and I assume this was a default setting.
