Incorrect Free Space after Hard Drive Upgrade

I replaced a 30GB Maxstor Hard Drive with a 60GB Western Digital drive.
I used Drive Image 7 to restore a saved image of the original 30GB
drive. XP is reporting low disk space and a check of the disk
properties shows a 30GB drive with 4GB of free space. It's apparent
that XP thinks there is only a 30GB drive an not 60GB which is why it's
reporting low disk space. How do I get XP to recognize the full 60Gb
size. I searched MS Knowledge Base but couldn't find anything relevant.
I'm guessing that a registry setting needs to be changed. Any info is
appreciated.

Thanks Joe

NO u imaged 30GB so u get 30GB when u restored.
U need Part Magic to extend 30GB partition into 30GB of free
space at end of drive.

I still use PM7 which u may buy cheap ~$20

Any advise given is my attempt to show appreciation for all
the excellent help I've received here but I'm no MVP so it
may only apply NUGS (Normally, Usually, Generally, Sometimes :)

Go into disk management and extend the partition size to the full 60GB.
There should be about 30 GB of unallocated space visible from disk
management.

When you restored the image, Drive Image created a new partition that
matched the size of the original. You now have unallocated space on your
drive. Right click on My Computer and select Manage. Go to Storage, Disk
Management and your should see the unallocated space.

To increase the size of your current partition, you need to use an
application such as Partition Magic 8 else you need to delete the current
partition {you will lose all data} and create a new one the size of the
drive. The restore your image again.

How you manage partitions is your choice. However, I prefer a small primary
partition {30 Gb is large but not excessive}. You could create a new
partition {D} in the unallocated space using Disk Management. Then
uninstall some/most of your applications and reinstall them to the D
partition.
