incoming zip attachment not there

Twice I have received a message saying the zip file is attached, but nothing
is there. I do not see a field for attachments, or any other place where an
attachment usually resides. This is the first time I have had this problem.
This sender has tried twice to send.
 
Check the message window if you see a "yellow" bar running across
indicating if any action was taken on the attachment. Also you should
check your antivirus program (hope you're running one :)).

If you are connected to an Exchange/Windows server, then it might be
that policies prohibits some types of attachments.
 
Thanks for your reply. There is not a yellow bar across the top. I did
check my anti-virus which is Kaspersky to see if the program had found a
virus (is that what you meant for me to do ? ) and there was not a virus on
the message. Also, I have received many zip attachments in the past.

What would be an exchange/windows server? I am using a DSL wireless
connection.

I really goofed and am sorry to waste your time.

When I asked for the size of the zip file, I was told that it wasn't
attached to my email, it would be found on the web on the tech support help
desk of the vendor.
