Incoming VPN Connections

D

Dave

I have a XP Pro workstation sitting on my LAN and acting
as a VPN Server (Incoming Connections). I have remote
users attaching to the network via 3COM ISDN LAN Modems
and then using a 3COM DSL Router to access the internet.
It all works fine, except, I can only get one user
connected at a time. I have the Incoming Connections set
to give a range of 7 IP address. Different users have been
created for each IP to log on with. All the workstations
can connect and access the internet, but only one at a
time. There are 5 other PC's on the direct LAN. What am
I missing, is there a unknown limit to the total number of
Incoming connections XP Pro can establish?

XP only allows one VPN connection at a time. You really need a server platform like 2003 in order to
do what you want or get a VPN end-point router that is capable of handling more than one VPN
connection at a time.
