incoming email is going into the inbox of archive folder

An identical folder structure exists between my archive folder and my
personal folders. I think I could have exported my entire personal folder
somehow but all of my incoming email is coming into the inbox belonging to my
archive folders. I am also receiving duplicate (old msgs.) in my inbox of
the archive folders. How can I put things back to "normal" where my email
comes into my personal folders inbox? My archive folder is the first folder
listed on my folder list - is this normal? When I try to close my archive
folder I get the msg: You cannot close your personal folders file that
contain your calendar, contacts & POP mailbox - Ughhhhh -can anyone please
help? I appreciate it!

At sometime, you screwed up by designating your archive .pst file as your
primary message store. Go to Tools -> E-mail Accounts -> View or change and
select the .pst file that you wish to become the default message store
(i.e., to where incoming mails get delivered). If the message store desired
is not listed, use File -> Data Management to add the .pst file and then go
back to select which one to use for delivering mails.
