Hi,
I have some users adding content (editing include pages) on my FP server via
shares. The includes don't get updated until I do a recalculation of
hyperlinks. Is there a better way to be doing this? Thanks.
KL

In order for FP Includes to be updated automatically, the user must open the web in FP and make
their changes, etc. directly in FP, then when they save the page, all pages using the Include will
be updated.

Hi Tom,
Other than creating subwebs, is there a way to restrict a user (who edits a
page) to a single directory in the FP hierarchy? Thanks.
Keith

No, unless you want to deal with additional security issues and problems, as all content for the
page must be within the directory if you apply OS permissions directly to a directory.

Hi Tom,
Well... when you have a large number of content contributors to a FP web,
what is the typical manner in which the transfer of edited pages is
accomplished (keeping in mind that the simpler, the better)? It may be that
I'm seeking a solution that doesn't exist. Thank you.
Keith

You structure the site to use ASP, ASP.net, etc. and then design a Content Management application
where each author logs in to update.

If this is a intranet, then look into using SharePoint Team Services (Windows 2000 Server) or
Windows SharePoint Services (Windows 2003 Server)
