Include email account settings in .pst file for easy import

I just reinstalled Outlook 2005 and was frustrated by the fact that the .pst
file I imported didn't include email account information. I ended up
re-entering info by hand.

But what would happen if you used a PST file with multiple profiles each of which uses a different set of mail accounts?

Ok, I get your point. So what we need is a mechanism to export and import
that email account information so it doesn't have to be manually inputted.
The problem i had is that this is often info we "take for granted" and I
needed to hunt it all down to make sure I got the email accounts set up
properly. Importing it would have been so much quicker and easier.

Have you looked at the Office Save My Settings Wizard? It's designed to help users port data and settings from one computer to another.
