Inadvertant closing of Windows Mail

By mistake I keep closing Mial with the "X" button.. Is there a way to
configure Mail so that it then goes to the right hand side taskbar, rather
like (I hate to mention it) Incredimail does ?

What I don't know about that applet is whether it is activated by
