Inaccurate Broken Link Report

Anyone has experince with Frontpage broken link report?
It constantly reports pages with shtml link are broken while they exist. Any
clue? I couldn't find anything from the MS KB site.

This is normal if you are using custom
error pages that you have published back
to your local machine, or which you may have
created and published, such as 404.shtml
because they really aren't linked to any page.

Do you know of any MS KB articles in regard to this issue?

Could you post what types of shtml pages they are??
Are they FrontPage generated??

I have had broken links in Reports due to hosting site
using Cold Fusion- cfm. Earthlink tech told me to ignore
broken links if did not affect my end. Hosting company
checked site after I inquired and they noticed nothing
wrong on their end.

Don't know if this will shed light on problem. HTH!
