In Word, on the "Assistance" sidebar (on the right of the screen), how do I
include more templates? It only shows the last 4 templates used. How do I get
6 or 8, or?

Unfortunately, this cannot be changed. If you want easy access to all the
templates, you may want to substitute the FileNewDialog command for either
the File | New... command (which opens the New Document task pane) or the
New button on the Standard toolbar (which creates a new Blank Document). For
instructions, see http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/CustomizingWord2002.htm

I am not sure how to edit the Task Pane or have more templates showing there.
However, I do know how you can have a list of all of your templates in click
of a button.

Go to Tools and then Customize…

Select the Commands tab

Then under Categories:, select Tools

Then under Commands:, scroll down to Templates and Add-Ins…

And drag to any of the toolbars or wherever you may like this button to be,
or even make a floating toolbar with it being the only option on it. When
you click it once, the Templates and Add-Ins.. menu appears. If the
templates you want are not listed, you can Add them...

Your feedback is appreciated.

How do you propose to use the Templates and Add-ins dialog to create new
documents?
