Hello!
I have recently installed Visual Studio.Net 2005 Beta 2 on my machiene. But
when I create Windows Application using Smart device(Pocket Pc, Smartphone or
Windows CE) project in New Project Dialouge Option the Toolbox for Smart
device tools is disabled showing a tooltip(Bug!) .

When I try to deploy my application on emulator it opens the emulator but
fails to deploy. Do I need to Set any environment variable or and
prerequisite part of Visual Stutio.Net 2005 Beta2?

Please help me..

Given that there is no Beta 2, you need to tell us which version you are
using. The best one to use is the November CTP:

Note that for smartphone projects you need to have .net 1.1 and CF 1.0
installed. Also, posting a link to a screenshot that demoes the problem
might help someone help you.

Cheers

Hi Daniel
I am using December CTP and installed .net 2.0 provided with CTP but when i
open it from program menu it shows "Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2" to run it.

My problem is same that toolbox is disabled for "Device Control v1" tab, If
i just add menu to Pocket Pc project and click run button it shows the
emulator but does not deploy the project. I have already set the location
"MyDocuments on Emulators" for deployment.
at the end it shows message deploy failed? What can be the possible cause?

I have not installed the December CTP. As I said the November is the one to
use now and it works for me...

My suggestion at this point would be to start with a new VPC (assuming that
is what you are using) and wait a bit for Beta 2.

Cheers
Daniel
