In Vista, Picture It Publishing Crashed-Help!

I loaded my Pic It Pub 2002 that worked fine on XP onto my new Visita
Computer and it opens up, but then when I try to open a file to import a
photo I get an error message saying "Picture It! has stopped working". When
looking at details it says a "Appcrash".

I tried the large Ram fix-pi9229.exe and it won't open, says it for another
program.

I use this Pic It a lot and would really like to use it in Vista.
Appreciate help..

Thanks, GKGInfo

Sorry for the bad news, but I don't think it'll work on Vista. I had
the same problems with Picture It! 2001 even back when Vista was still
in beta. I did send compatibility requests to get something out to fix
that, but it never happened. You'll probably need to upgrade to
Microsoft Digital Image or the like. Do not get the latest version of
Picture It! because it is actually a stripped down version of Microsoft
Digital Image and has actually less abilities than Picture It! 2001 or
2002 did. We made that mistake. Go straight for Digital Image or
equivalent. I'm using Digital Image Pro 10 now, and it works perfectly
fine on Vista. I have not a clue if older versions of Digital Image
work. It's not the newest thing out there, but it works. It does take
a good amount of learning after using the previous Picture It! though,
but it has all the same features that Picture It! 2002 has plus a few
more. If you were willing to do eBay, you could probably pick Digital
Image up new for next to nothing. (And I'd highly recommend getting new.)

Travis, Thanks for info, I will check into Msft Digital Image Pro. If I am
going to have to go through a learning stage, is there any other product/s
that will do more than Digital Image Pro that you are aware of?

Thanks again, GKG
