In Outlook 2003 I want to create sub-contact folders

This is the error message I receive when I try to create a subfolder of a
contact folder: Unable to reaaaae the folder. You cannot create subjolders
in a mailbox for a web-based account. First I don't want to be in a mailbox
for a web based account, secondly I followed this procedure in Outlook 2000
without any trouble.

I have opened Folder List, then contacts and from there I try to create four
sub-folders from the Contact folder in the Folder List. What to do next?

Trying to write the crabby lady makes me a crabby 2003 office user.

You didn't provide any information.
What mail account type and information store are you using?

What type of account are you using? Where is your delivery location?

I just open Outlook, bring up the Folder List, go to CONTACTS and try to
create four subfolders. The help screen dosen't mention anything about what
type of mail etc. I just want a way to categorized my contacts to FRIENDS,
BUSINESS, ARMY, FAMILY.

Please read my post and answer the questions.
Surely you know what type of mail account you set up and where your Outlook
data is stored.

Surely I don't! My E-mail is through MSN. I use Outlook 2003 for task,
calendar, and contacts. Nothing fancy, knowledge is limited. All I'm saying
is that with Outlook 2000 if I wanted to make a contact or make a sub-contact
it was a log simplier with teh 2000 version and the 2003 help isn't any help
at all.
I'am signing out of this question and answer, please don't offer me any more
SURELY YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR MAIL ACCOUNT IS.

Outlook supports several different mail transports: Exchange Server,
POP/SMTP, IMAP, HTTP, Fax to name a few. Each behaves differently so your
question was impossible to answer. You set up your Outlook profile. We
didn't.
If you are using MSN then you are using HTTP. You can no longer access HTTP
accounts from Outlook unless you have a paid premium subscription to MSN.
