in excel 8 always equals 10! whats gone wrong??

8=10 this doesnt seem right

when i go to a cell and type

8 and then navigate away from the cell, it changes to ten,

this happens with any sheet i open, existing or blank.


I have re-installed the entirty of office and still nothing, update
windows, just to get security updates.

So what could have gone wrong?

oH yeh if you enter in 08

it changes to 8

?

I'd try Tools|autocorrect options
See if there's an entry for 8.
